American Idol

Is anyone watching American Idol? Did you see that my man, Michael Castro, didn't even get the attention he deserved and was already cut??? Sucks!!!!!!!! Ok, well I want to know who everyone likes, or dislikes. Me? I guess I am going for the blind guy, Scott because he is so inspiring, and that one guy who is the Dueling Piano player. I think his name might be Matt? Anyway, tell me your thoughts on this years American Idol.

Old Pictures

December 2007 my friend Kristal took some pictures for me and the kids up in Jo City, which I then made into a scrapbook for Travis for christmas. I never blogged with these pictures, but I wanted to show you a couple. I LOVE my kids. Sometimes they just say something, and it will make my day. Like today, at the freaking chiropractors office I broke down crying, and as I was trying to keep it a secret from the doctor Austin is asking "Mom, what's wrong with your eyes?? Why are you washing them??" It instantly put a smile on my face. He is the sweetest little boy there ever was and I love him! I hear this at least 10 times a day... "Mommy, I love you." And then I feel guilty because I didn't say it first. I loved his toes as a baby, and I still do. He will laugh at anything, even if it sooo isn't funny! He is just the happiest kid there ever was. I LOVE to hear him laugh... it is sure to put another smile on my face. I also love that he will always let me know when the Jonas Brothers are on the Disney Channel so that I can come and watch them! He is so thoughtful. I'm telling you, SON OF THE YEAR award goes to him. Every year.

Then there is Zoe Boe. My prissy little girl with the biggest attitude you've ever seen. You want drama, you go find Zoe. But I can't ever get enough of her sweet little voice. I love the way she says "It's sooo spicy!". In case you have never heard Zoe talk, just imagine the little girl "Boo" from Monsters Inc. the movie. She sounds just like her. And I love the way she will just sing christmas carols, and High School Musical songs at the top of her lungs (completely tone deaf) when she thinks no one is listening. I also LOVE that she will put her hands on her hips and tap her foot when she is trying to be the boss. I love her chubby cheeks, and her smootchy lips. And OMG how I love her toes still! I love that she always wants nail polish on. I loved when she used to call herself "Yoey", and I am so sad that she can say "Zoe" now! I love that she sees anyone's baby and will just comment on how cute they are, and she will act all Mommy-ish. It makes me want to have a baby just so she can have a real little baby around. I am just in love with this little girl, it's not even funny. Every word that comes out of her mouth makes me melt. Unless it's the "fit throwing Zoe". No melting there.

This is probably my favorite picture of me and her.

Austin is in Wham Basketball

Austin is in basketball!!! It is so much fun to watch him. He likes it, which is exciting because I think it would be SOOOOO much fun if he kept playing and eventually played in High school! Now, you know Austin, he is very easy going, he's the nicest kid ever, not too aggressive. So you could imagine how he is on the court. But, when he gets the ball he does really well! Last week he made his second basket! The first one he ever made was when there were only 10 seconds left and he made the basket just as the buzzer rang. It was awesome. Here is the picture of his second basket he made... (he is number 32) He gets so happy when he makes a basket. It's so cute.

Look at this defense, so intense.

Here he is taking the ball down the court.

And here he is taking in the ball.

Anyway, he is doing really well at it, is loving it, and so am I! I love watching him plaY!!!! It is the CUTEST thing ever!

Travis's Bday Gifts

Wanna see Travis open some of his presents? I knew you would, so I took some quick pics. First of all, look at what Shannon and Jason gave him. I TOLD you guys that he really wants a lifetime supply of milk.
Me and the kids just gave him a basket of snacks that he loves so he could take them to work, and also some leetle gifts- Sunglasses, flip flops, and a belt. All things he needs. Oh and he got a pillow.
Nice Travis.
Here is the cake Travis picked out at the store. It is a pink and yellow ice cream cake. I totally would have made him a kick butt cake, but we were in safford that weekend, and super busy! Sorry Travis!! At least there were blue candles on there for you.

I also need to blog about our trip to Safford where we also celebrated his bday. But I need to get the pictures first. You will want to tune in. There was an EAR WAX CONTEST. Yes, I am serious.

Coupon Sense

This just in......I signed up for Coupon Sense today. I know a ton of Cousins that do it, a ton of friends that do it, and I have never even thought of doing it. Until like a week ago. I HATE grocery shopping because I feel like I have to spend SO MUCH to get SO LITTLE food. Plus I have always hated spending my money on stupid things like Gas, Groceries, Toilet Paper. I have always hated it. But, with this Coupon Sense program, I am hoping to start to love it more. Everyone I know that does it, saves AT LEAST 50% off their grocery bill. So why not?? I like to save money, and I like to get things for free. So I will give it a go.
If any of you do it, please tell me how much you love or hate it. I am curious. And it will get me motivated to do it.

Listen

My new favorite song right now is called "Lucky" by Jason Mraz and Colbie Callait. They were on SNL saturday and I fell in love with it. It is on my playlist at the bottom of the page. LISTEN TO IT!

Happy 31st Birthday Travis!!

Today Travis is 31!! Happy Birthday! Here are 31 things about Travis that I love.

1. His smile

2. The way he sings "Take on Me" and songs like that when he thinks no one is listening.

3. The way he wrestles with the kids like no ones business.

4. That he is sooo good at basketball. I think that is hot.

5. Even though I can be totally mean and grouchy at times, he still sticks around.

6. He loves Disneyland as much as I do.

7. He likes to travel anywhere, just like I do.

8. I love that we met at a Super Bowl party, even though I DESPISE football.

9. He is very understanding.

10. He is very good with our kids.

11. I love that he can't dance a LICK but he still will when no one is there.

12. He has all his baseball cards from when he was a kid. Cute.

13. Going to the movies is almost like going to Disneyland for him.

14. He NEVER complains.

15. He has nice thick hair.... so hopefully no baldness anytime soon?? (cross your fingers)

16. That he always wears a hat. That's his "thing".

17. That when he doesn't wear his hat, he looks even hotter.

18. He is always up for anything.

19. He can eat 10 cheeseburgers in every week, and his heart will be as fit as a fiddle.

20. He eats like there is no tomorrow and doesn't look like it.

21. He would rather have an unlimited amount of MILK than an unlimited amount of MONEY. This is true, he said it.

22. He knows when I need help and will just come in and make things all better.

23. He works hard to give us a good life. Again with no complaints.

24. I love that he went on a mission because that shows he was passionate about something.

25. He will sit there and pick his nose like a little boy. Gross, but endearing.

26. No matter how nasty I get, he will still tell me I'm beautiful.

27. He helps me decorate our houses, and he likes it.

28. When we have babies, he isn't one of those guys that won't change a diaper or wake up with them in the night. He probably does more than I do!

29. He loves all children, even if they bite him hard in the freaking leg at Primary.

30. He would do anything for us.

31. He got an MP3 player for christmas that can hold "only" 2000 songs, and he spent a week making and editing a list of songs to put on it, because "it is a tough decision! There are so many good songs!"

Twilght Spoof

This made me laugh. Especially when he is telling Bella why she can't resist him! Watch it!

Lost Vegas

That is what I used to think it was called when I was little. Lost Vegas.

Anyway so we went with the Mulders to Las Vegas a coupla weekends ago, just like we do every year. And like every year it was totally fun! Even though my back hurt so bad that during the day while Jason and Kristal were in seminars, I stayed in my comfy bed in the hotel room. All day. Then we would go out at night. Oh and we stayed at Treasure Island, I have always wanted to stay there since I love pirates so much. Here was our view that I took at like 3 in the morning.

Here we are walking the strip. Look how hot Kristal looks.
One of the nights we went to the arcade at New York New York where I kicked this games trash... I can very frequently hit the jackpot which is 250 tickets. That's right. Now multiply that by 3.

And then I kicked this guys trash at basketball..... wait a tick, is that Travis?? Oh ya, that is!
We also saw a show called "Defending the Caveman" at the Excalibur. It was so hilarious. It is a comedy about the differences between men and women. This will give you a little taste.... can you read it? Now don't we look just like the people in this poster for the show??

On our last day we went to the Venetian for lunch, and they had "characters" walking around. This was a fancy little Italian lady who could belt it out like an opera singer.

Like always, it was a blast! Looking forward to next year you guys! Oh and thank you Kristal for lugging around your camera so that I didn't have to! I wouldn't have any pics from the trip if not for her.

Still, still, still

What would you say if I told you that a certain Gilbert mom still has her christmas decorations up in the house? And would it make it better if she told you that she really has NO motivation to pull like a 100 boxes out of the garage and start filling them up with said christmas decor? And would you feel the slightest inkling of sympathy if she were to tell you that she is walking around like an old lady so it isn't even in her best interest to be doing such strenuous work and heavy lifting? And do you realize that it takes like 4 days, sometimes a week, to even decorate the house in the first place and get all the boxes back into the garage, so we aren't just talking about a quick afternoon of packing here??

Does this suck or am I just being lazy? I think it is both. All I reallly want to do is just lay around all day and ice, ice, ice. Like an old lady. Cuz that is what I am now. Bring on the gray hair, give me some bi-focals, fetch me my mush, and sign me up for shuffleboard.

So I am sorry you guys but Christmas is just gonna have to stay up in our house until Travis is here to help me on the weekends. But it will have to be the weekend after this weekend, because we are going to safford saturday, and sunday we have church now from 12:30 to 3:30. You will just have to deal with it. As will I.

More Castro on Idol!!!

Is this actually possible?? Jason Castro's brother Michael is going to Hollywood on American Idol?? This would be an example of life's little miracles, people. You all remember my obsession with Jason Castro, yes?? Well, his bro auditioned for AI, and made it!!!!!! I am sooooo excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Aren't you?

Christmas at Disneyland

Finally, here are some pics from our trip to the big "D" with the John family. This was a really fun trip. BUT it was the most crowded I have ever seen it!!!

Here is Zoe at the Hotel. She was ready.

My kids got a Build A Bear gift card for christmas, so the first night we were there we went to the one at Downtown Disney.

And they LOVE them!

This is Zoe and Jaxon crying at the same time because Grandma is not within 3 feet of them.

The kids here waiting for Indiana Jones.

We all got to go to Goofy's Kitchen on Sunday, and they have the yummiest food!

Goofy was dancing with Zoe.

Most of us on the Grizzly River Run.

Santa was there on vacation.

This was our last night there, and Austin fell asleep at the table at Red Robin!

There are a ton more pics, but I just threw a few on here. Thanks so much Jace and Wendy ! We had a blast!

Christmas Day

Christmas Day went well. The kids woke up, we ate breakfast like always, then got to the presents. First thing we always do is open our stockings. This is my personal favorite part. I love that some of the smallest things that can fit into a stocking can turn out to be the best gifts ever! The kids get an ornament every year in their stockings, and some other goodies from either us or Santa. Austin is in LOVE with peanuts, so we got him his very own bag. Then we do Santa gifts. The kids were very pleased with Santa this year. He brought them exactly what they asked for! Here are some more pics from the days events.... Zoe got tons of princess dresses and more.... including her "purple baby" she asked for! She named her Cassie.

And Austin got a ton of transformers, and legos. He was very excited. And the last picture- notice the people on the guitar?? That's right folks. Camp Rock Guitar Hero. Oh ya!

Then that night after we did dinner and presents at my Mom and Dad's, the whole John family came over and thus began the trip to Disneyland! I will post about that tomorrow.
