Preschool Friends

(I am going to be posting about tons of things that happened ages ago because I forgot to blog about them at the time! And this is mostly just for the kids book for when they get older, so I understand if you want to just skip them all together.)

These are some of Austin and Zoe's preschool friends. One day after school we went to their friend Kaylee's house, and played. They have horses, chickens, cows, dogs, I mean the kids were in heaven. Zoe LOVES LOVES LOVES LOVES all animals and really isn't too scared to touch any. Austin was perfectly content keeping a bit of a distance from the horsies.

Ariel and Hot Rod

Who? What?

A couple of weeks ago my sweet Grandma bought a fish for each of the kids. Zoe's is pink (of course) and Austin's is red( again, of course). One is named Ariel, the other, Hot Rod. I'll give you just ONE guess which one is which. The kids named them all by themselves, feed them all by themselves, and "ooh and ahh" over them daily!

Oh my gosh I almost forgot to tell you the scariest part. When I was transferring the fish into their tank, Ariel decided she was going to flop right out of the water, and onto the floor. She was quite literally a "fish out of water". She was flopping around for like a minute because I couldn't pick her up! She was all slimy, and wet, and just freaked out any time I tried to grab her. I don't know how, but I somehow got her into the tank. I am suprised she didn't die. She was out of water so long. But that was really freaky. And the kids were watching the whole thing! Can you imagine how traumatized Zoe would have been if Ariel had died right in front of her?

Zoe got bangs!

Zoe really wanted to get some bangs cut. I have been pondering on whether or not I wanted to for quite sometime now, and just the other day we decided she should get some. So my sister gave her some bangs and Zoe is thrilled. She keeps telling everyone (even people at stores ) " I got bangs!" She wants me to announce it to everyone we see.

I think they are ADORABLE on her. I mean just look at her!

Zoe is such a happy little girl. She is currently in complete Harry Potter mode, and loves to repeat lines she hears on the movie in her british accent. It is hilarious! I don't know what I would do without her. She definetly keeps life interesting!

Austin's First Day of Kindergarten!!! :(

Austin started kindergarten on Monday!!! I have been dreading this day since... FOREVER. I was doing pretty good, until the teacher said "Ok kids, say goodbye to your parents!" Then the tears started flowing. I got them to stop once I got to the car, but when I got home they started again and wouldn't stop!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so sad that my boy was gone! Yes, he is only in halfday kindergarten, yes its only 2 hours and 45 minutes long. But seriously, "It's like the end of an era, you might say!" I don't even want to think about next year when he will be going ALL day long.

Before I post about kindergarten I have to put some pictures from his preschool graduation on here because I totally spaced and forgot. His teacher, Mrs. Susan, had all the kids put one of their dads shirts on to look like graduation robes. So cute!

These are his preschool buds. Kaitlyn, Kaylee, and Isaac. They played together everyday at the park. They are good friends.

Now onto Kindergarten. He was very excited to start school. He is going to Finley Farms. Here he is, my little man.

And get this, he had an assigment before school even started! He had to make this little paper person look just like him. I think he did an awesome job! He LOVED this assignment.

He said that his teacher asked the whole class if anyone knew how to read yet, and he was the ONLY one who raised his hand! He is so smart and I am so proud of him.

Well that's that. My boy is growing up and I hate it! I want him to stay my little boy forever!!

Canyon Lake

We went to Canyon Lake on saturday with my parents for just a coupla hours. It was a good time. The kids tubed and loved it. We also swam a lot. Here are some more pics for the books. They are horrible quality pics as the boat was so bumpy and I just had my little digital camera with me. But we have to have pictures!

And they're off!!! Zoe doesn't weigh much so she was bouncing around like a ragdoll. I swear of she had let go of the handles she would have flown right out.Now it's Daddy's turn to ride with the kiddos.

Tempe Splash Park

Today we went to the Tempe Splash Park for the very first time ever. Nice thing about it is.... ITS FREE!! And it is probably the nicest splash park we have ever been to. They had slides, water falls, water "guns".. totally fun. Here are some pictures to document the day.

Here are just some fun pics of mine and Austin's friends Shannon and Addison. I thought they turned out pretty cute.

"Austin and Brooke, Sitting in a Tree....."

Guess what??? AUSTIN HAS A GIRLFRIEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And it is all HIS doing. One day he asked me if he could make a drawing and the next thing I know, this is what I am looking at...

It is a picture of 2 people holding hands, and a big heart with B+A in it! I was like "B?? Who is B???" And he started blushing and said "Brooke!" Brooke is our neighbor. Austin wanted to take her the love letter so he took it to her. A little later that night she brought him a letter that said " I LOVE YOU TOO AUSTIN, LOVE BROOKE". So cute!

And she it TOTALLY boy crazy, so this made her day. Her mom said that she slept with the letter he gave her, clutching it to her chest saying "DOES HE REALLY LOVE ME??!!! OH HE REALLY LOVES ME!!"

Then she came over the other day and told Austin " DID YOU KNOW THAT WHEN I FIRST SAW YOU AT HALLOWEEN THAT IS WHEN I LIKED YOU??" and she also told my friend Shannon, "DID YOU KNOW THAT HE LIKES ME AND I LIKE HIM??" It is SOOO funny. I just HAD to blog about this so that he can read it when he is older!
