Disneyland from Dad

My Dad, the amazing person that he is, treated our whole family to Disneyland for 4 days last week!!! It was really really fun. Here is a play by play of the entire trip. Wednesday night, we headed up to Cali around 7 ish. We slept at a HoJo, then woke up and checked into the Paradise Pier Hotel. Very cool. Look at Diesel's sweet little pumpkin face in this picture. From there we went straight to the park of course, and played all day.

Zoe met her favorite princess, Jasmine. Remember how last year she wouldnt even look at the princesses even though she was infatuated with them?? Well she is stepping it up now and isnt as shy as last time, so that is a bonus. And way more fun that way!
After a long fun day, we went back to the hotel where they had a freaking awesome little cartoon room with a huge disneyland sand castle with a tv in it playing old Disney cartoons 24 hrs a day. They had little Adirondack chairs like we were at the beach or something, and it was just a fun little place to chill after showering. The kids thought it was the coolest thing ever.

Next morning, we decided to dine at the character breakfast place at the hotel (cant remember the name). This place was a Hawaian theme so Lilo and Stitch were there.

Zoe for some reason was in love with Lilo. She would just hug her, stare at her, rub her cheeks in the most sweet way... I mean look at her sweet little face in these pictures....
Then Pluto asked her to dance.

Here is a video of Zoe doing the hula with Lilo.

Ok, back to Disneyland. Dad and Zoe on some ride in Bugs Life...

Diesel showing off how precious he is. But of course we already knew that.

OH MY GOSH!!! Did I mention that Zoe is now tall enough to go on rides like Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain, Tower of Terror.... can you believe it!!! So she went on all of them. She was petrified on Tower of Terror, trying not to cry and everything, then we got off and she was fine and said she loved it. I don't even like Tower of Terror!! Here is a picture of the picture they show you on the TV's at Disneyland of us on the ride. Notice how me and Travis are both trying to console her???

Zoe was so proud of herself for "being tall!!"

Then it was parade time. You have seen pics of my kids at the parades, so here are some of the precious seeing his first parade. So cute. He loved it!

Zoe and "Cinda-lulla"

K so the next 2 nights we stayed at The Disneyland Hotel. Love that place. Grandma and Grandpa took the kids swimming in the Peter Pans Neverland Pool and they loved it. Goofy was outside ready to greet us!

Here we are at breakfast with Cassie and Kevin at the Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney.

Zoe getting ready to go on Space Mountain, Jellyfish Jump, Thunder Moutain, all rides she has NEVER been on. Oh and I should mention that Austin was also VERY excited because he was now tall enough to go on the Indiana Jones ride. Its great because we have reached the stage where everyone can go on most rides! Its awesome.

Random picture of the Kids and Cruella DeVille. She called them "filthy maggots". The kids thought she was funny. She was a very good actress.
Video of how good of an actress this lady is.

This was probably one of the funner vacations I have had!!! I loved going with everyone, loved seeing Diesel there, it was just a lot of fun. And it really is all thanks to my Dad!!! So thank you Dad, we had tons of fun, and we appreciate all you do for us!! Love you!!!

Funny

Zoe has been singing the "Trick- Or- Treat, Smell -My -Feet" song all day lately, but this is how she is singing it-

" Chick-a-cheat!

Mell my feet!

Give me somping good fo my feet!!"

I think that is comedy right there.

Zoe's First Day of School!!!

Man, I am so behind in my posts. That is mostly due to this last week being one of the worst weeks of my life. But I really don't want to talk about it.

K so Zoe started Apples to Zebra's last week for the very first time ever!!!!!! She has been WAITING to turn 3 years old so that she could go to school. She was very excited, and she got to use her new "pintheth packpack" that Grandma John bought for her. I was kind of nervous that dropping her off would be like dropping her off to nursery the first times she ever went- but she is so cool with it it isn't even funny. She loves it. I took my camera with me to get pictures of her going to her class, but alas, batteries were dead. So you will just have to settle on seeing pictures of her coming out of class ok?? Oh, and since Austin is in school at the same place at the same time as Zoe, that means I get 2 hours twice a week to myself!!!!! Yay for Amy!!!!

"It's All My Fault"

Would you like to hear the story of Gunnysack the Toy Scavenger?? Why of course you do. Gather around children, and don't forget your security blankies cuz this is a scary one.

Once upon a time, there lived a family with 2 wonderful children. They played together, they fought together, they laughed together, and they cried together. Life was sweet. Until one day their Mom asked them to clean up their rooms.

The boy said, "Ok Mom."

The girl said, "Ok!"

And they went skipping off to their rooms.

The Mom, satisfied with their willingness to do just as she asked, resumed her usual position in the kitchen slaving over a decadent 5 course meal in her properly sanitized and clean working space.

Five or ten minutes had gone by, and the Mother decided to check on the cleaning endeavors of the 2 young children. To her dismay when she got upstairs to their rooms, she saw NO children, nay, all she could see were TOYS TOYS TOYS!!!

"Why, the children haven't been cleaning at all," the Mother exclaimed in utter shock.

She set off to find the 2 young children, and she came to find them nestled on the couch cushions lost in an episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

"What is the meaning of this!!!" the Mother screams.

" Ok, ok, we will go clean up," says the boy lazily with an annoyed look on his face.

But before the 2 young children could get to their rooms to finish the toy cleaning, a white sheet like object came swooping in and started to eat the kids toys!!!!!!!!!! He had a mean, evil grin on his face, and he was really hungry that day. The kids, frantic at what was happening, started to scream and wail and try to pick the toys up before this thing swallowed all their priceless transformers and dollies.

"I'ts all my fault!!!!!!!!!!" the little girl wailed through fountains of tears.

The Mother explained who this white creature was, and told them that from this day forward "Gunnysack" was going to eat any toys that are left on the floor. She also told them that if they were to pick up all their toys without their Mommy asking, then "Gunnysack" would spit out all the toys he had eaten!

And to this day, toys are left on the floor and "Gunnysack" still gets 3 meals a day in the house with the 2 young children. Maybe someday they will learn.

This is a horrible picture. Its all dark and burry. Oh well. So there you have it. What do you think?? Is Gunnysack a good idea?? today was the FIRST day in the l ast 3 weeks that Gunnysack spit out all their toys- 3 weeks worth- because they cleaned up what they were playing with before leaving it, and I didn't even have to tell them to do it!!! So I think something is finally starting to click with them. Thank goodness.

ONE MORE THING FOR THE ONLINE GARAGE SALE!!!!

Remember when I did that blogging garage sale thing?? Well I forgot something! I got this for christmas and I LOVE it but I don't have anything else that goes with it, and it is too small to be put up by itself. So, are any of my fave people interested in it?? It is like probably 4 ft by 3 ft or something like that. K let me know! I will just put it on craigslist if no one wants it. I am just soooo sick of craigslist and ebay!!!!! Oh, and remember that blasted Broom Vac I blogged about last January??? That is up for grabs too. I HATE that thing!!! But a lot of people actually like them. Not me!

Random

Guess who got a calling??? We did. And guess what it is??? Teach CTR 5. Guess who is in our class?? Austin! So that is kinda cool. I don't know if I am that nice of a teacher though. Last week I had to go get one of the kids mom's because he was misbehaving in Primary. Some would say that is mean. Me? I call it NECESSARY. He is a good kid though.

In other news, I put my Jonas Brothers magazine on ebay a few days ago. (what?? But Amy how could you betray them that way!!) I know! Believe me when I say that it was one of the hardest things I ever had to do, but I did it. I paid originally $3.99 for it. What do you think it sold for???? Guess. If you right then either you cheated and looked at my ebay, I had already told you, OR you are just really good and I will send good thoughts your way for the rest of the day.
Good bye the most loved and cherished magazine I have ever had!!! You will be missed...until I get the check in the mail. Then I will probably be over it.
