Obsessed Much???

When Travis was a wee lad, he collected baseball cards. Then he started collecting basketball and football cards. He still had all of them in a tub out in the garage. So like a week ago, we were bored and I said "Hey! Lets get out all of your cards and organize them!!" I just thought it was silly that he has all these cards in the garage, and not in a book where he can always see them when he wants to. So we got them out. And there was quite a plethora to deal with! Then, we remembered that he had a Beckett from this year- it's a book that grades cards. So for kicks, we went through EACH AND EVERY baseball card and graded them individually. Oh, I forgot to tell you that he has 3, 200 baseball cards alone. So this took us awhile!! They are still sitting on our front table. Anyway, his highest priced baseball card we found was a Barry Bonds card worth $8.00. Not bad. Anyway, then after we did that we put all the cards in order of brand, year, and card number. Now I am in the process of putting them in a book in order for him.
Now the basketball and football cards, he had only 500 + of each. He is not that attatched to these apparently as he told me to put them on Ebay. But we found a Troy Aikman rookie card valued at $30! I think that is pretty dang good! Anyway, I just wanted to show you how much Travis loves baseball. He says he started collecting baseball cards when he was about 9.... that means that when he was galavanting around Safford buying and trading these cards I was in Tucson playing dollies cuz I was only 4.
Austin is really excited that these cards will be his someday. He was helping me set out all the basketball ones for a picture and he kept saying, "This guy is a Champion Mom" and then he would say things like "OOH! I like this guys moves because he is doing them COR-EC-TE-LY (enunciating every single letter of that word). " It was cute.

Dead On I Would Say

You Are a Realist

You don't see the glass as half empty or half full. You see what's exactly in the glass.

You never try to make a bad situation seem better than it is...

But you also never sabotage any good things you have going on.

You are brutally honest in your assessments of situations - and this always seems to help you cope.

Bored On A Friday Night

These are just a few of my favorite movies.

Whatever!

I did this little thing to see what my name means. Who knows which of these things is totally not correct???

Zoe's Princess Birthday Party!!(This is a long one)

So, Zoe is finally 3!! We are out of the terrible two's. On her actual bday which was the 21st (last thursday), she wanted to go to McDonalds and get a happy meal because they had Star Wars toys in them, so that is what we did. Then that night we had oreo ice cream with sprinkles and she opened 3 presents. She got a princess cd player (plastic cds) and some barbie plates and cups, and 2 shirts from the Disney store.
Then, I spent the ENTIRE next day making her birthday cake. She has been waiting for MONTHS for me to make this cake for her.

Then the next day, which would be saturday, was her Princess Tea Party. So we got up, and I curled hers and Kamryn's hair ( kam and boston were staying with us that week.)

First all the kids had a tea party, complete with real tea cups, pink "tea", and cute little doo dads to eat. Once that was over, then they made their own princess crowns. Yes, Austin and Addison did too. Then I gave them all necklaces and rings and we quickly tried to take a picture of all of them together. This was not a success.

The kids then got to play "Pin the glass slipper on Cinderella". Zoe went first and she very concerned about why her slipper wasnt on the right spot. She kept saying "But No Momma, it goes HERE!!" Kamryn won this game and got a prize.

Next was the "Pass Snow White's Apple" game. It is just like Hot Potato. So we turned on some muzic from Snow White and off they went. Abbi won this game. Zoe was the first one out!! But she was cool with it because she got a consolation prize- princess fruit snacks.

Let's see, then she opened some presents....

We then sang Happy Birthday to her, which she was very embarrased about, and ate some cake. After the party, she would NOT take off her princess dress, and she played with all her new toys all day long. She loves them!!! Thank you to everyone who came. It was A LOT of fun and Zoe loved having you there!! Oh, and thanks to Shannon who motivated and helped me get this party going in her bday month instead of 2 months later, Jana for fixing the zipper on my dress so that I could wear it, Cassie for saving my bleep when my camera batteries died, and Wendy and my Mom for helping me clean everything up, and Travis for running to Goodwill at 7 am to get all the teacups for only $2!!!! (We washed them), and Zoe for being such a girlie girl so that I can throw you a PRincess PartY!!!HAPPY BIRTHDAY PRINCESS ZOE!! WE LOVE YOUR ROYAL LITTLE GUTS!!!

Modern Day Oldie

Just in case anyone is trying to call or text me, don't. My phone doesn't work. AGAIN. Call Travis's phone and he will then find a way to get ahold of me I guess. Sorry. But imagine poor me?? No home phone, no cell phone. What am I, a pioneer? OOH! Email me. That's more like it!

Beanie Weanie Casserole

Guess what. I am addicted. "To what Amy?" Well, to Beanie Weanie Casserole. I admit it. I hated it at first. Thought it was the nastiest thing to ever reach my tastebuds. Then we had it again because the kids LOVED it, and that is when it started to grow on me. And it is all Travis's fault mind you. He says that his mom made it for him all the time when he was young. "Well, Amy, what IS it??" Oh, I am so glad you asked. Try not to gag will you?? It is maccaroni noodles, cut up hotdogs (cringe, gasp), onion, and tomato soup. "Amy, I have to go hurl..." I know right?? Sounds nasty. But this little dish grew on me, and now I crave it fortnight. You would think that I am pregnant because of how much I crave this strange meal. (Now I am laughing to myself because you probably think this is just a clever way of telling you that I am pregnant. I'm not BTW.) Just thought you guys would like to know what my latest craving was. But the kids love it. They say that it is their fave meal. I wonder how fattening it is??

Bowling For Dummies

I can't believe I haven't blogged in like 15 days!! Well, last Friday my Dad treated all of us to some bowling. Thanks Dad! So Austin and Zoe are here to show you how to bowl like a pro. Listen up.
First, you could take Austins very conservative approach, and bowl like this.....

Or, if you tend to lean more to the liberal side of things, you could bowl like Zoe.... but the key here, is to ALWAYS have your butt crack sticking out of your pants and to SIT on the floor and roll the ball at 1 mph.

Or, if you prefer to be a spectator, then you could just use your time wisely like Diesel did.... poop in the corner behind all the bowling balls.

(Even with a pooping face, he is still the cutest.)

Then you could all go over and play with the locks on the lockers, with your cracks still showing like Zoe's.

All these steps are crucial if your goal is to acheive points like these suckas.
