Look At All The Monkeys

I have been babysitting my cousin's kids a lot lately and I LOVE it! I love their kids. The other day they were over and it was seriously hot, so we broke out the watermelon per the chillin's request. As they sat there all content, I was able to snap some pics. I love these kids!!!Here are the Hansen boys, Beau, Brady and Bennett.

Josh is Graduating

So my brother Josh is graduating. That is very weird to say since it seems like he is always in school, and now he won't be. Is that a weird reason for it being weird?? This is getting a little weird, let's move on.

So, tomorrow is the big night. Last Sunday was his Seminary Graduation, and we all went to that little shin-dig. It was alive and hoppin', let me tell you. Here are some pictures to prove it.. I mean look at these faces, do they look like people that would be at a church participating in a Seminary Grad night?? I don't think so. See, I told you. Alive and Hoppin'.

Dad, yes this picture is against a boring white wall, in a church, yada yada, but come on. It doesn't look that bad right? This is my bro, sis and parents. Man, we are good looking.
And in conclusion, I give you Josh. The senior. The person for which this entire post was meant for. Yay for you! Happy Graduation Day!

Update on the Burn

I just wanted to add some more pics of Austin's burn as it gets better so that later on in life, when he looks back at this awesome blog that I do for the interest of my ever so deserving children, he can see just how it healed. It may not interest any of you, but by golly, it will interest Austin. He is the one telling me to take all these pictures everytime we change his bandages after all. Geesh, so lay off people!

The Dr popped the blisters and got squirted all over the place with juice from Austin's blisters....

And now we don't have to wrap it up anymore, we just let it air out. It is healing great, so let's hope it keeps going that well! Why is it that Austin always has to have some kind of injury or something... asthma, screw getting caught in his arm... touching his Daddy's grill and almost getting his hand burned off....I think he is a "Thunder Stealer"!! That would explain why he is always saying, " Mom take a picture of me doing ___________ and put it on your blog!!!" I am on to you Austin, oh yes, I see what you're up to.

The Many Precious Faces of My Precious

I love Zoe's face. I love the smoochiness of her cheeks when I kiss them, I love her big plumpy lips, I love her big round eyes even when they are giving me the evil eye half the time. I love doing her hair all Barbie like. I love that she loves her "lulla" jammies and wears them all the time. I love her little buck tooth grin. I just love everything about this little stinkpot!

GG's 80th Birthday Bash

Saturday was my Grandma's 80th Birthday Party! There were so many people there. It was kind of like a family reunion because there was family there that I have not seen in quite some time. But it was at my cousin Taylors house, and he has the most AMAZING pool I have EVER seen! The kids had a BLAST going down the rock slide and jumping off the rock cliffs. Here are some pics. Oh, and my Grandma has 30 grandchildren, and soon to be 60 great grandchildren!

Burn Victim

Last night Austin had an accident! I finally realized what happened this morning because he isn't screaming his head off anymore, but we were grilling chicken outside last night and they were all outside playing. Austin said that he started to fall and tried to brace himself on the stupid grill and it was hot, and so it burned his hand! It immediatly blistered up. I got out my handy medical book that Wendy gave me awhile ago, and it said to put the hand in cold water for 30 minutes, then put Bacitracin on it and cover it up. So that is what we did. They he started crying and screaming because he said it felt like it was on fire, so I drove him 45 minutes to our freaking urgent care and the whole time he was in the backseat screaming his head off in pain. It was so terrible to not be able to help your child when they want you to! We got there, and for some reason he zonked out, but they prescribed him with something that I could rub on it that had a cooling effect to help with pain. Anyway, he is doing much better today, but it is going to take a long time to heal they said becuase it is on the palm. I feel so bad for him! He is all bummed because he can't transform his transformers for awhile. Anyway, here is little hand all blistered up....

Cakes and Jason

Ok, I have good news and I have bad news. Good news first. I am taking a Cake Decorating Class every Wed night!!! I am so excited to be able to learn to make freaking awesome cakes. As most of you know, I get my kicks out of this around my kids birthdays, so I am SOOOOO excited to know how to do it for real. I would LOVE to open up a cake shop or something someday and make wedding cakes! How fun would that be?? So I will show you each week the cake that I made in class.. Deal??? Yay for me!

Now, the bad news, which I am sure you all know about by now. My idol is gone. Kicked out the door. Gotten the axe. Cut down in his prime. Jason Castro is off American Idol! I am very sad about this. I seriously do not care about anyone else, no I take that back, I do care about DAVID COOK NOT WINNING this show. I will now put all my eggs in that basket. I do NOT like that guy, I think he is a cocky, arrogant "you know what" who does not deserve to win just because he THINKS he deserves to win. Catch my drift?? Don't like him. In the words of Simon, "Sorry!" I think the picture below of him will describe my hatred... what? It's not my fault he looks so dumb in that picture!!! Ha!!!

But Jason...... I LOVE YOU!!!

Breaking News Story

There have been new developments in the potty training case in Queen Creek, AZ . There have been reports that Zoe John hasn't had an accident during the day since Saturday, and BOTH kids have woken up DRY for the last 3 nights!!! And last night the mother didn't even have to wake them up to go to the bathroom!!

When asked for comment, the mother said "This is a dream come true for us. We are just so very proud of the kids for waking up dry the last three nights. (eyes welling up with tears and voice starting to shake) I just couldn't ask for more! (husband lovingly reassures his wife with a hug, huge dorky grin on his face, one small tear gliding down his cheek as he looks adorningly at the 2 small DRY children playing below him.)"

So, it goes without saying that they are very happy out there in that small town in the middle of nowhere, as seen from that heartfelt and extremely corny and untrue statement from the mother. Gilbert Mall Splash Park

So last week sometime we went to the Gilbert Mall's Splash Park. Quite an idea if you ask me. Can't believe that places didn't start doing them sooner. Anyway, the kids had a blast. Here are some pics.

This cute little girl is Abbey. She is so adorable! And look at her little bro... he almost 4 months old and seriously weighs over 20 pounds. But he is so cute!

This and That

I haven't blogged for a long time. It seems like April is the month of blogging hiatus for me. Why? Well that is a question you will have to answer for yourself cuz I just don't know. I just don't have much to say in April's I guess!

Ok, so my cuz, Jana, inspired me to get going on this potty training thing with Zoe. She potty trained her son in 4 DAYS by getting rid of diapers cold turkey DAY AND NIGHT and now he is good to go. So I am on day 3 of this little method you mastered Jana, and the days are going somewhat well, but the nights?? Forget about it. I am not letting them drink anything after dinner, and I even wake both of them ,(YES! Austin is still wetting the bed at night. Disgusting, I know) I wake both of them up in the middle of the night to go pee, and Zoe just cries because she doesn't want to, and Austin will go but still pees in the bed later. So what the crap?? When will Amy hit the potty training jackpot and be kid-pee free at night??

On a lighter and much more joyous note..........Jason Castro is still safe on American Idol!!! Can I just tell all of you how much I love him?Oh my, it is bad. I am going to rue the day that he gets voted off. Do you know how I spent my time from 8-10 p.m. on Tuesday night? Me, 2 phones, one in each hand, re-dialing 1-866-456-5701 for 2 hours straight. He needs me, and I am not about to let him down dang it! So, everyone, please vote for Jason on American Idol for me. You don't want to see me cry do you?? Then help me keep him on the show!!! I dont know what I would do without my Jason Castro fix every week. I mean look at him...

And don't worry, Travis doesn't care about my little crush. He was the same way when Carrie Underwood was on the show. So it is all good.
