I have a question that I thought would be interesting conversation that I wanted to pose to all of you.
What is your opinion/ feeling/ belief about Permanent Makeup???
If you don't know what it is, basically it is a tattoo that you can get on your eyes, eyebrows, cheeks, and lips to look like your makeup. That way you never have to apply any.
I know that our church says "No tattoos." But it isn't like you are getting a big fat heart with the word Mom in the middle you know??? I mean, everyday us women mark ourselves with eyeliner pencils and stuff, so is it really any different????
For Christmas, I am asking to be able to get my eyeliner done. I am so sick of putting it on everyday, and taking it off every night. My opinion is that since we pretty much color on ourselves everyday, and it isn't gauddy like a real tattoo, then I think it is acceptable.
What is your opinion??

DON'T DO IT!!! What if you choose to change your style in the future, but you can't? Also, our skin sags as we get older. I saw an older lady who had this done and it just didn't look right. She was on TLC's What Not to Wear and the makeup artist scolded her and advised the audience not to participate.
I don't know if it's acceptable or not (I have a "real" tattoo myself), but I have an aunt that got her eyebrows done and it looks totally weird. It's permanent -- what if you don't like it? What if they screw up? That's your eye!
don't Amy, I know you'll regret it. Just take the time to put on the eyeliner, it's like brushing your teeth. I bet you're joking anyway.
I see why you think its interesting, but I also think that just like a real tattoo its going to get saggy down the road. But I say, do what you want. Remember coach Deaton? she does permanent makeup and you know how cute she is. I can give you her number.
I thought you already had it done before?? I say nay, but I'd love to have it done. ha! I'm just asking for a new car, new house,more food storage, and a $500 gift certificate for victoria's secret for Christmas. Not much to ask...he's gotta make up for getting me NOTHING last year right?
Yeah, I thought you had it done already!?! I know a few people who do it for a living, but I'm not fond of it unless its for medical reasons, like if I needed 'those darker reigons on my upper chest' done after a masectomy...

You guys, yes after high school I did it with a friend who was interning and needed a gineau pig so it didn't last more than a couple years. But I really want it again.

I don't see anything wrong with it. I have actually been considering it as well. Actually I have thought of getting a real tattoo, but that is another story. I say do it!

Hey! I linked on your site from someone else's. This is my thought - A tattoo is a tattoo. If the prophet says no tattoos, then you don't get a tattoo...it doesn't matter what kind. If you get the tattoo, you're disobeying the commandment. If you don't care about that, then do it. I just wanted to post my thoughts. I don't think this will make much difference in your life. It's just a post from a stranger, but those are my thoughts.

My mother-in-law has her eyebrows done because of a childhood incident, and I know she regrets it now. Plus she has to keep redoing it because it fades over time. That is a lot of money wasted to me to do it on purpose. I am also not big on the whole makeup thing anyway, too much is just being vain, I say get rid of it all. Women would be way more beautiful if they could show they natural beauty. I think that is how God intended it.
I had a super cute friend in college who had teh perm. eyeliner and she said she hates it. I thought it looked great, but she says she regretted it and it was too late to do anything about it.
