Obsessed Much???

When Travis was a wee lad, he collected baseball cards. Then he started collecting basketball and football cards. He still had all of them in a tub out in the garage. So like a week ago, we were bored and I said "Hey! Lets get out all of your cards and organize them!!" I just thought it was silly that he has all these cards in the garage, and not in a book where he can always see them when he wants to. So we got them out. And there was quite a plethora to deal with! Then, we remembered that he had a Beckett from this year- it's a book that grades cards. So for kicks, we went through EACH AND EVERY baseball card and graded them individually. Oh, I forgot to tell you that he has 3, 200 baseball cards alone. So this took us awhile!! They are still sitting on our front table. Anyway, his highest priced baseball card we found was a Barry Bonds card worth $8.00. Not bad. Anyway, then after we did that we put all the cards in order of brand, year, and card number. Now I am in the process of putting them in a book in order for him.
Now the basketball and football cards, he had only 500 + of each. He is not that attatched to these apparently as he told me to put them on Ebay. But we found a Troy Aikman rookie card valued at $30! I think that is pretty dang good! Anyway, I just wanted to show you how much Travis loves baseball. He says he started collecting baseball cards when he was about 9.... that means that when he was galavanting around Safford buying and trading these cards I was in Tucson playing dollies cuz I was only 4.
Austin is really excited that these cards will be his someday. He was helping me set out all the basketball ones for a picture and he kept saying, "This guy is a Champion Mom" and then he would say things like "OOH! I like this guys moves because he is doing them COR-EC-TE-LY (enunciating every single letter of that word). " It was cute.

Bill was so sad that his mom threw his cards away - glad he can still enjoy them. Yep, its the same Bishop Clare - he's got a heart of gold.
