Guess what Austin just told me he wants for christmas??
He wants a baby Zebra for christmas. Pishaa! As if! As soon as monkeys start flying out of my butt, sure, then you can have a baby zebra for christmas.
Here was his logic to why it would be ok to have a baby zebra.
Austin: "Mom, I want a baby zebra for christmas."
Mom: "Ok, I don't think that you will be getting one of those, how about you ask Santa for a baby puppy?"
Austin: "Because I want a baby horse and a baby zebra. "
Mom: "But a baby zebra won't fit at our house. "
Austin: "Mom, he would fit in our backyard, and I could feed it carrots, and play with it..."
Mom: "But I don't think it would be very happy at our house Austin."
Austin: "Well he would be happy with me Mom! "
Austin: "We could put him on the roof, then he would fit?!"
Mom: :"Well I dont understand why you want a baby zebra."
Austin: "Well I want to borrow one so that he can sit on my bed, or on my lap. Cuz sometimes I dream about baby zebra's..."
Mom: "I don't think so."
Austin: "Come on Mom!! It is only a present!!!!"
Seeing that I am not giving in to the whole zebra thing he settles with this one....
Austin: " Ok, well then how about we get a little baby dolphin and we can just put him in our pool. I didn't say that we would get him from the zoo or Sea World, we would just get him from the pet dolphin store. That would be so sweet!"
He actually thinks this is a realistic situation, buying him a zebra or horse and he especially thinks it more than easy and normal to aquire a dolphin.

Come on Amy! Just get it for him. He asked real nice.
I agree, such a stickler! Get the boy a dolphin!! I love that he dreams about zebras and holding them on his lap! He's awesome!!!!
Yeah, later he tried for a girafe. ANd when I say later, I mean just an hour ago, at 10 pm. Yes, he was still trying to convince me of some kind of wild animal! And he has already named them... the dolphin is Tiny, the Zebra was Runny, and I can't remember the others. He is pretty cute.
Maybe 1 dolphin won't hurt....
I liked how you color-coded the names in Christmas colors. It gives us a real sense of the Christmas spirit as you told us that story.
I knew it would Jana. I did it for you. Merry Christmas!
