Buzz trumps Family

Listen to this story.

Yesterday, we were all out in the back yard doing yard work. After about 5 minutes, I realize Zoe is gone. "She went inside the house", I thought. I go to check on her. The back door is locked. "That little brat", I huffed with a smile. "Zoe!!!" (as I bang on the door) "Open the door for Momma!"
5 minutes goes by. No unlocked door. No Zoe. "Travis, Zoe locked the door", I say. Travis laughs hysterically. "Do you have the keys?", I ask. "No." He says.
Travis, Austin and I are at the back door wailing for Zoe to come to the door. Nothing!
We go to the windows that open into our bedroom, and, what do you know. Zoe is sitting smack dab in the middle of our bed with markers, coloring. On paper, don't worry. So now, us 3 are at the back window trying to bribe Zoe out of there to open the door.
"Zoe, open the back door!" to which she says politely "No. Draw Buzz." (She was coloring a Buzz Lightyear picture.)
Holding up some outside chalk to the window Travis tries "Zoe, come color out here with chalk!" to which Zoe says, "Mmm, No. Draw Buzz." Puts her head back down and is very concentrated.
"Zoe, you wanna swim?" ...."No."
Then I try, "Zoe, you want some candy??" She looks up very interested, "Hmmm????" I repeat, "Do you want some candy?" She says "Aye!" I say, "Ok, come and open the door and I will give you some." At this she changed her mind. "No. Draw Buzz."
Then we ask her if she wants to see a doggy, this worked. She came and opened the door. Then we had to find a doggy for her to see!!!
She wasn't trying to be mischevious, she just had an art session that was obviously more important than letting her family inside the house for about 20 minutes. She is so funny!!!

OH that is so Kenzie only the coloring would be on her legs and our walls and doors.

Yes, I was shocked to see that she was coloring on actual paper instead of my mirror, comforter, herself, or the carpet.

This is hilarious! Any time you need a doggie to visit, we have a nice fluffy black one that loves kids.
