Suprise Ending

Hello my sweets. Miss me? Never fear, I am back and ready to fill you in on our goings-on. Oh, and Momma brought back a surprise for you...... But you can't get it until you have finished all your dinner. Dinner here being reading the whole post. But you got that didn't you? Now eat up, this one's a doozy!
K, so June 10 we headed up to Lake Powell to spend a few days on my parents houseboat! It was loads of fun. Here is the short version of the story-

Scary stories were told & teenage boys peed their pants in fright, a plethora of fish were caught by yours truly, children and moms fell down flights of stairs numerous times, movies were watched under the stars, tacos were devoured, people were thrown from tubes too many times to count, skin became brown quicker than you could say skin cancer.

Now I will give you the whole story.

K, so here is the houseboat.

Here is our backyard view from the houseboat. Que the "OOH's and AAH's".

We were anchored to this huge mountain thing, and the kids LOVED to hike up to the top of it and THROW rocks down. We drove 5 hours to a lake for that?? They could have done it all day long.

The houseboat of course has a slide, the only problem with this was the the water for some reason was FREEZING COLD!!! So the kids wanted to go in, then felt how cold it was and chickened out. But here they are going down the slide. Zoe went with Daddy, and Austin went all by himself.

Next came the tubing. The kids really wanted to go tubing even though the water was so cold, so in they went. With Daddy of course. I had to take pics. They LOVED it! They never stopped smiling and laughing. Example...

Then they came on the boat, and couldn't stop laughing their guts out. I don't know why, but I think they thought it was fun to bounce around on the boat. See??

While they were hamming it up on the boat, Travis, Josh, and his friend Jordan went out on the tube. There they got flung around and pretty much demolished by my Dad. If you haven't ever seen grown men fly, then come to the lake with my Dad and the tube.

We never did wakeboard because the water was never very good. So I just layed out the whole time. My fave thing to do in the summer!!

The houseboat, thanks to my Dad's idea has a projection screen thing on the top deck of the houseboat. So we were able to watch movies outside under the stars. We watched Enchanted, in case you can't tell. It was fun.

Austin and Diesel got in some boy time together. Here they are reading books to eachother.

One of my favorite things to do when I go to Lake Powell is go fishing! So my Dad always takes me. This year he caught 4-5 Striped Bass, and I caught 5 Striped Bass and 2 Catfish. Yay for us! We don't keep them though. Here is a really bad picture of one of the fish I caught.

Here is the whole gang that was there. It was a lot of fun!!

Ok, then after this we went directly to Las Vegas with our friends Jason and Kristal, and let me tell you, that was a blast. We have never really been on a trip where all we did was just chillaxed, and that is what we did on this trip. It was awesome. I took zero pics of that trip, so if you would like to see some of it, go to kristals blog HERE. It is mostly about their part of the trip, but we make a few cameo's in there.

All right well I think that about sums it up don't you?? K, well till next time then. Wait, wasn't I supposed to tell you something??? Hmmm, what was it. Oh that's right, just the little fact that we are moving to Gilbert in 4 days. Ok, well thanks for reading!! Bye!
