My Not So Baby Boy

On June 16 Austin's tooth fell out! Well actually, I took some floss to see if it was really ready to come out and it was. So we just pulled it out and it was very easy. He was very excited! Here he is still with his "wiggly" tooth... ( I know, it's out of focus)And this is him with a big hole in his smile!!! He is so cute. And his tooth was So LITTLE!! The tooth fairy came and brought him a dollar. I told him that I was the tooth fairy. I told him that is was kinda like a game: I was playing the part of the Tooth Fairy and he was playing the part of the kid. He seemed to like that and relate well to it since he plays make believe all the time. I am so sad that my baby boy is growing up!

Baby teeth...

In the car on Saturday night Austin says "I HAVE A LOOSE TOOTH!!!" I immediatly turn on the lights and checked because I have been dreading this day since he has been born!!! I LOVE his little baby teeth, all perfectly lined up in a row. Needless to say, it was a-wigglin'. I held back a couple tears.

Now it is about to fall out. I am holding onto every last second that he is still all baby. Cuz after this falls out, he is officially not my baby anymore!!! And guess what??? NOW the tooth right next to it is loose too... yes, I am freaking. I hate getting old and I hate that my kids are growing up so fast already! As soon as he loses his tooth, and I can regain my sanity, I will do a post about his wee little baby tooth that just HAD to fall out so quickly.
Sad.

I did it

I made a facebook account. I swore I would never do that because what's the point? But I kept getting all these invites, and finally I just thought "Well I will see what's so great about it." I noticed a lot of YOU are on there too. Tell me why? I mean what is it that you actually do on there that you can't do on here?

I want my privacy!

Ok so most of you have already figured out that I set my blog to private. I did this because Kristals cousin informed me that my kids pictures were stolen and being used on polyvore.com, which apparently is a roleplaying website (YUCK!!!). SO, when I saw my poor innocent kids on a nasty weird website being used by who knows who (m?), I decided it was time to go private. Anyway, just FYI. I am sure I forgot to invite a TON of people, but I was just so anxious to get this thing as private as I could get it and as fast as I could!

Rhilee Mae John, our new neice

Austin's 6th Birthday!!!!!

Austin is 6!!!! Can you believe it?? Since he is obsessed with Legos, he wanted to have a Lego Birthday party this year. It was pretty fun. We had a Lego Relay race....
We popped balloons that had legos in them to see who could collect the most legos( this actually did not turn out as fun as I thought. It sounded like there were gun shots going off in the house because the popping was so loud! But the kids loved it, well, some of them did :))....
We had a Lego Ring Toss game, and a "Hot Lego" game. The kids who won these games won a little Lego Set so they were very motivated! Of course my favorite part of planning a birthday party is getting to come up with a cake to fit the theme... here is what I came up with....

Austin was very impressed with it, whereas I, being the perfectionist that I am, was not satisfied with it after spending 9 1/2 hours on it. I should have used fondant.

Then we ate cake... and opened presents.

I couldn't believe the massive amounts of Legos this kid got. He was extremely happy!
This here is Tanner. He was the winner of our door prize, which was a jar of Legos. The kids had to guess how many legos were in the jar, and the one that got the closest got to take the whole Jar home! There were 773, and he guessed 806!

This is just Austin with his best friend super excited about his party!

Thanks for coming everyone! Austin had so much fun with you!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUSTIN!!!! I LOVE YOUR 6 YEAR OLD GUTS!!!

Girlz Trip '09!!!

(try clicking on the image to make it bigger. Sometimes it works.)

Last weekend my BFF Shannon had a bday and she really wanted to celebrate it at Disneyland! Of course I am always up for some Disney shinanagins (sp) so we decided to do our very first girlz trip. It was a FREAKING BLAST I tell you! We had so much fun. We from now on are going to do a Girlz Trip every year.

Fun/ interesting things that happened on our trip.....
1. Bird jumped on my plate then proceeded to fly in face for like 5 seconds. Freaky!
2. Boogers- thats all I can say about that one.
3. The night we got there, we got on the shuttle to go to Downtown Disney, only to be told by "Kenneth" our bus driver that we had just jumped on the very last shuttle for the night. So we were all alone on the stinking bus and just rode it to the park and back for no reason!
4. We saw "Josh Hartnett", aka "Derek", aka "Hot Guy".
5. I looked like a Milk Maid with my silly Zebra bows and all the kids around the park stared at me wondering "What the...?"
6. Oh it totally was cloudy the whole time and was beautiful weather. Like 70 degrees people, that is perfection. The first night it was MISTING us. Not sprinkling, MISTING. I called it a "misting system in the sky". Cuz that's what it was.
There were probably way more things I could have writted just then, but I can't remember right now. All I know was it was a BLAST! Can't wait for the next one!

Recent Pictures

I took some pictures of a friend of mine and I am in love with her little girl. She is so cute and totally reminds me of Zoe! Here are some pictures I took of them a little bit ago that I love! Doesn't she remind you of Zoe???
Look at those bows. Amazing. Her mom makes them! I totally want her to make me some.

And here is my little Diesel-Poo. So precious and adorable I want to eat him up right now. But I won't. Did you know he can swim? He's amazing.

This one above is the one where Diesel is totally holding a lady bug and is completly enthralled with it. You can't really tell cuz the pictures are so small on here but oh well. Anyway, just wanted to show you some of the pictures I have taken lately!

Sometimes it hurts to wear cute shoes....

I am so COMPLETLEY behind when it comes to updating you on my kids lives!!!!!!!!!!! A coupla weeks ago, Zoe and I went to Costco while Austin was in school. Zoe was wearing her plastic Snow White princess shoes, of course, and insisted on standing on the outside of the cart instead of sitting in it. So we get our stuff and head to the car. Right before we get there, she steps off the cart, and I freaking ran over foo toe with the freaking heavy cart BREAKING her princess shoes thus totally slicing off the bottom of her big toe. IT was so bad I had to take her in to the doctors office and they gave her 2 little stitches. Anyway, it is all better now and these pictures are from a week or so AFTER the incident. But you should have seen it the day of though. It was nasty. So that's the story of Zoe's first stitches ever!

Easter at the Sand Dunes

So we went to the Dunes for easter this year. Good times. The kids cried buckets when it was time to leave. Or should I say baskets. You know, cuz of all the Easter Bask... oh never mind.
Here are the kids coloring eggs....

Now, all you readers who believe in the Easter bunny better close your eyes while you read this next part because I don't want to spoil anyone's easter dreams.

I have always been completely honest when it comes to if the freaking Easter Bunny is real. Which he isn't.

(gasp, sigh, OMG!!)

Yes, I tell my kids the truth about "him" and by-golly I think that is good because he's a BUNNY people! No white fluffy bunny is going to bring all the kids around the world baskets filled with candy and toys, and then manage to squeeze in hiding all the kids easter eggs. I think it is ok to break that one to them. Austin on the other hand, well he doesn't believe me. I think he caught on though when I said "Ok, now we are going to hide your eggs so don't peak!"

Silly kids.

So then the Egg Hunt began. Here's a game for you. Can you find the egg in the picture below?

Austin! You weren't supposed to tell them!

In case you can't tell, I am not a huge fan of easter. I shouldn't even use the word "fan" because I actually despise it. You know, all the eggs, bunnies, baskets, have-to-have dinners, the pastels, can't stand it. Sorry. So we just get the kids a tiny little present that they would enjoy instead of a plethora of candies and chocolates. Here is what they got.
Then it all started over again! They wanted to do yet another easter egg hunt, so we let them. Here is Austin and his cousins doing a mad-dash.

Look at these cute little ragamuffins. Zoe was taking a nap by the way when this was all going down.

That's all folks.

This is what I have been doing...

Travis's sister asked me to do her wedding pictures a few weeks ago. SO that is why I haven't posted anything in a year! I have been working on these pictures and it was totally fun. Wanna see a few of them????

We had to totally "re-do" her cake. When she brought it home from the place that she had it made, she thought it was a total disaster, so we had to totally strip it back down to white and start over. It looked completely different from the original!

Anyway, there's a few of the pictures. Hopefully I will be posting more often now that I have finished them!
